The Los Angeles Times website seeks a flexible news producer who can
run our homepage during overnight hours.
Candidates for this position might be line, design or copy editors
with experience making fast-paced news judgments. They should be able
to write compelling headlines quickly and communicate with colleagues
in a high-pressure news organization environment.
The position involves posting breaking news and photography on the
site’s homepage, building an immersive user experience at the story
level, gauging audience response and writing display copy.
Interest and experience on web and blog management platforms would be
required. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, video, HTML and one or more
web management systems — and the ability to work quickly and produce
the highest-quality work in these environments — is required.
Knowledge of social media and search optimization is crucial. More
detailed knowledge of code, feeds and software programs is a plus.

Position Summary
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation seeks a Project Manager to join its Workplace Project team in the development of a workplace equality assessment of Jewish non-profit organizations. Similar to HRC’s Corporate Equality Index and Healthcare Equality Index, this project will survey approximately 300 organizations against a set of criteria for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) inclusive work environments specific to Jewish nonprofits and benchmark the results. The project also will explore inclusive employment policies and cultural competency within the organizations regarding the service provided to LGBT clients, customers and other consumers.
All positions at the Human Rights Campaign and/or the Human Rights Campaign Foundation may require travel on a regular basis or periodically. Where the need arises for business travel, appropriate compensation as outlined by the Fair Labor Standards Act will apply.
